Why did i shoot this i dont know ... i liked the sight of her i had seen her from way across the square ... i tried shooting her from about half way .. fuck up every shot .. blurr all over ...
This was the best one here she was about 2 meters away i guess... maybe a bit more ... her expression never changed always that same stare ... most of the time straight in the lens ...
Then when she walked out of the reach of the cam ... i got a smile ... now why couldnt she do that earlier ??? it would have made such a nice photo ... oh well maybe next time i see her walking over a square maybe then i'll get a smile :D

nice shot patience does pay but then again we can always get what we want... at least she smiled at you and wasn't annoyed or worse still - whack you in the head with the bag she is carrying... :)

@kairospix: true patience pays :D but i dont have it :D
:D lol yeah i guess thats a good thing cus the back looked kind of big and heavy :p
I like her little sadness on the face, it gives a lot to the photo, but it's a very calm sadness, like somethink that's there for a long time..... maybe a smile would have give less than sadness... Very nice portrait! I was just watching, just before, at the clip of "u Turn" of Aaron and she made me think about the girl in that clip.. the kind of girl with a long and hard story behind her shy smiles...

@Soph: maybe i would have given a lesser photo with a smile ... who knows ... i've come to like the shot like this though without a smile .. . i'm just not that satisfied with the focus :p
Beautiful ,are not women the most beautiful creatures ever created. I think she is singing to herself perhaps Christina Aguilera's Beautiful lyrics.

@Morris J. Chisholm: they sure are well alt least more beautifull then men :p but i guess its up to your taste :p
maybe she was maybe she wasnt i dont think she was though though it would be nice to know what she was thinking at that exact moment :p i'm thinking it was more like whats that idiot doing with that come and why the hell is he pointing it at for so long :p
I don't think she's sad, but she has a smile like the Joconde !

@Inés: maybe maybe :D

@Rebecca: :) ah ok well if i see her again i'll inform her about the possible money here thoughts are worth :)
Oh - i think its great shes not smiling. I think if you did get the smile you would have had to do a photo story leading up to the smile. Otherwise this is just splendid as is.

@Rabbit: no the only record of that smile is in my head :D i only got these kind of frowns on shot :D
Cool shot, love the stony emotions on the woman photographed, no one drops their personal 'city guard' I guess.

J'aime bien cette vue dos à dos et les couleurs.

She doesn't seem sad to me, is more like a little bit of attitude, which works perfect in this type of picture. Also I see that the picture focus is not very sharp on the subject, but it does not detract from it, it actually enhances the image, its focus softness gives movement. Very nice!
